Response to Intervention (RtI)
Great Websites full of useful information:
A great document that explains what RtI is and what parents should expect.
Intervention Central is an EXCELLENT website that provides parents, teachers and schools with free articles and tools to successfully implement Response to Intervention. The site was created by Jim Wright, an RTI consultant and trainer from Central New York who has worked for 17 years in public schools as a school psychologist and administrator. With many school districts across the nation now facing serious budget constraints, Intervention Central is devoted to making high-quality RTI resources available at no cost. Download publications on effective academic and behavioral intervention practices, and use interactive tools to create assessment and other materials to help struggling students in the classroom and throughout the school.
ChartDog 2.0 - Parents - now you can create your own Progress-Monitoring Time-Series Charts on the internet. Use this very user friendly program to track your child's progress through the intervention process. Graphs and charts are an essential part of the RtI process. If your teacher/school does not give you a chart of your child's progress (or, heaven forbid, regression) get the data from the teacher and plug it into this program. Better yet - refer your teacher to the program and let them benefit from doing it themselves!
